Addressing the strict guidelines in regards to the ROW and designated garage position was managed by creating split levels to the home. Two visitors bays, double garage, store, laundry, and screened drying yard, are all located on the rear split level.
Due to the required entrance to the primary street and visitors bay to the ROW and split level, two stairwells were a logical solution.
The striking modern facade is dominated by the returned double storey void/ stair well window and stone cladded feature wall. Adding to this is the skillion roof and aluca bond cladding. Although the frontage is under 12m, the elevation appears to have much more width due to the use of a double storey parapet wall.
A memorable feature to this display home is the double storey bookcase/void/ stairwell near entrance. The open steel and timber staircase allows the natural light to penetrate the front window and travel into the home.
A north facing central courtyard with sliding door and full length glass windows, fill the living areas with light and creates a seamless transition from inside to out. A feature pond located against the house creates an attractive outlook for not only the living areas but also from the home office.
High raking ceilings to the master bedroom with large ensuite and private balcony overlooking pool and alfresco creates an impressive master quarter with added style. A rear gatehouse was designed to create an entry statement for well known guests using the visitors bays to maintain an attractive entrance. The gatehouse outlooks the pool and alfresco below, which has a double storey raking ceiling, and the master bedroom private balcony, with sliding doors and raking highlight windows.
The block has been maximized to its full potential through a design that is unique.
